Event Details

This month we will be discussing The Sunflower: On the Possibilities and Limits of Forgiveness by Simon Wiesenthal. While Imprisoned in a Nazi Concentration Camp, Simon Wiesenthal was taken one day from his work detail to the bedside of a dying member of the SS. Haunted by the Crimes in which he had participated, the soldier wanted to confessto - and obtain absolution from- a Jew.  Faced with the choice between compassion and justice, silence and truth, how would he respond.

This book includes the thoughts of 53 distinguished men and women who responded to the question. How would you have responded?

All Booked is an easy-going book club that reads mostly fictional titles featuring romance and mysteries with some biographies thrown in!  Join us on Zoom or at the Library for All Booked - one of our two Library book clubs! Everyone is welcome!
