Guest Authors for The Read, Write, Ignite Literary Series

As a part of the Baxter County Library’s Read | Write | Ignite Literary Series, Library patrons will be able to attend some fantastic author talks and other special events. The series starts October 7 and spans into the second week of December. Patrons can tally the events they have attended with the literary series punch card available at the Library Information Desk. Three punches award you a bookmark, 5 punches earn a free book, and if you complete the whole card, you are entered to win a $50 gift card.

On Thursday, October 7 at 8:30am, Children’s Author Lauren Tarshis will meet with registered participants via Zoom to kick off the Literary Series. Lauren Tarshis is an accomplished author who wrote the I Survived series.

On Saturday, October 9 at 11am, Nancy Allen, co-author with James Patterson, will present her work, in-person, to the public during the Area Author Showcase and chalk walk outside in the Library parking lot and under the big tent. Nancy Allen is a very prolific mystery writer and has written many well-known titles such as The Jailhouse Lawyer and Juror #3. The Area Author Showcase is a fun filled event with local authors, artists, and refreshments courtesy of Farmers and Merchants Bank.  Everyone is welcome, with no registration required.
