Get crafty this summer in art classes at the Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County. Summer art classes for grade levels Preschool through 6th Grade begin next week; classes are based upon grade just completed. 4th to 6th grade summer art is Tuesday, June 8, 10:30am-11:30am. The class will be creating animal sketches, with a twist. By the end of the class everyone will have a unique art style. Kindergarten to 3rd grade summer art will meet Wednesday, June 9, 10:30am-11:15am, to create colorful Fish Mosaics. Preschool art is on Thursday, June 10, 10:30am-11:00am. Preschoolers will create animal sculptures out of clay. It can be an animal that already exists, or you can make your own.
Registration for these classes start during the summer reading kick-off, Saturday, June 5, in-person or online. Teen art class is June 25. Preschool through 6th grade art classes are offered on multiple dates; register for the date that best fits your schedule.
