The Friends of the Library announce Scholarship winners

This year’s winners of the Friends of the Baxter County Library Essay Scholarship have been announced and the chosen four could not be more deserving. This year’s scholarships totaled $3,300 and were divided into a $1,500, $800, and two $500 awards.

First place was awarded to Kylee Sabella. She plans to attend the Central Baptist College to study Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology.

Second place was awarded to Ella McCurley. She plans to attend the University of Central Arkansas with a major in either Biochemistry or Music.

There is a third place tie this year, and $500 was awarded to both Sarah Godfrey and Anna McGraw. Sarah plans to attend the University of Arkansas to study law and Anna will attend the University of Central Arkansas for psychology.

All this year’s winners are proud graduates from Mountain Home High School.  All high school students in Baxter County are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

The Friends of the Library will begin accepting essay submissions for next year’s Scholarships January 1, 2022.
