Crystal Bridges Art Books Available at the Baxter County Library

A multitude of fine art books are now available for check out at the Baxter County Library.

Full color catalogs featuring artwork from past exhibitions at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art can be borrowed with your Library card. Some of the titles offered include “Celebrating the American Spirit,” the museum’s first publication which features American Art from their permanent collection, “Warhol’s Nature,” which accompanied a 2015 exhibition of Andy Warhol’s nature-inspired works, and “State of the Art 2020,” a catalog showcasing contemporary art from a Crystal Bridges show held earlier this spring.

Other art books available feature a diverse assortment of topics ranging from architecture, crafts, and contemporary art.  Some titles available include “Women, Art, and Society” by Whitney Chadwick, “Native North American Art” by Janet Catherine Berlo, and “Framing America: A Social History of American Art,” by Frances K. Pohl.

Support for the art book collection was provided by the Arkansas State Library in partnership with the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.
