Baxter County Library Readers Can Explore Secret Worlds

The Baxter County Library is connecting their patrons with millions of readers and a compelling young adult eBook during the next Big Library Read, the world’s largest digital book club. From November 2-16, borrow and read Ryan La Sala’s debut novel Reverie as an eBook or eAudiobook without waiting by visiting baxlib.org and accessing the eBook collection from the “Books & More” tab on the homepage, or by downloading the Libby app and logging in with your Library card number. After you’ve read the book, visit discuss.biglibraryread.com to participate in a global discussion board to share your comments, thoughts, and opinions.

Reverie is a wildly imaginative story about what happens when the secret worlds people hide within themselves come to light. In the story, all Kane Montgomery knows for certain is that the police found him half-dead in the river. He can't remember anything since an accident robbed him of his memories a few weeks ago. So, when three of his classmates claim to be his friends and the only people who can tell him what's truly going on, he doesn't know what to believe or who he can trust. But as he and the others are dragged into unimaginable worlds that materialize out of nowhere—the gym warps into a subterranean temple, a historical home nearby blooms into a Victorian romance rife with scandal and sorcery—Kane realizes that nothing in his life is an accident, and only he can stop their world from unraveling.

This program runs for two weeks and only requires a Library card to get started. The book can be read on all major computers and devices through Libby including iOS, Android, Kindle, and desktop without wait lists or holds. To join the discussion, visit baxlib.org, discuss.biglibraryread.com, and download the Libby app. To get a Library card to access eBooks visit the Library, Monday - Saturday, 10:00am - 3:00pm.
