MOUNTAIN HOME, AR – Spring is in the air again, which means it is time for the Baxter County 9th Annual Plant Swap at the Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County. Everyone is welcome to swap plants or seeds with neighbors at the Library on Saturday, April 22, 9:30am to Noon.
You will be able to meet, talk shop, and trade plants with local gardening enthusiasts at the Plant Swap. You may bring any plants you want to swap, but you are welcome to come without plants. If you are new to plant swapping, there will be plenty of friendly faces from the community to help you get started on acquiring your green thumb. Gardeners are invited to bring usable gardening tools, gardening magazines, and catalogs for others. You can also drop off seed donations to help start a seed library at The Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County.
From 10am until Noon all ages are invited to join in an Earth Day activity. Mix a few seeds with damp soil and nutrients to make seed bombs. You can also play a quick round of pollinator pizza and learn why pollinators are so important to our food supply.
