Banned Books Week this year will be held Sunday, September 26 – Saturday, October 2. Banned Books Week is an annual celebration of our freedom to read. It highlights the value of open access to information without censorship and the shared support of the freedom to seek ideas regardless of controversy, unorthodox subjects, or unpopularity. For information about Banned Books Week and a list of 2020s top 10 challenged books, go to www.bannedbooksweek.org. Come to the Baxter County Library to express your freedom to read by checking out a book.
